Historical Costs of Slide Development
Jiffy Slides is working on a cost analisys of how much slides cost to develop throughout different timeperiods. This allows us to understand, in economic terms only,the value of slides as an investment. The true value of most people's slides cannot be measured as family memories are truely precious.
Our anecdotal evidence (from memories of our clients) tells us that slides cost approximately $7 for 24 in 1950, 56 years ago. If this $7 had been invested in a portfolio earning an 7% per year then the present day value of that investment would be $348.81. Every set of 50 slides developed in 1950 is now worth approximately $725.
